CEREDIGION

Formerly Cardiganshire. It's largest towns are Aberystwyth and Aberaeron.

Ceredigion County Council

There is nothing on the website concerning motorhomes, the Council call them 'caravanettes'

There is an interactive map to locate car parks. Type car parks into the address field. However you get the address but nothing else. No height or size information.

I received a lovely email from a lady in the Technical Services dept with some information which is shown below.

'I wish to confirm that there are 7 Council managed car parks that currently allow motorhomes (Motorhomes are denoted by the term ‘caravanette’ within the literature referring to the car parks). These car parks are

· North Beach, Aberaeron

· South Beach, Aberaeron

· New Promenade, Aberystwyth - this car park has larger bays which allow for the parking of larger vehicles including caravanettes

· North Road, Aberystwyth

· Quay Street, Cardigan

· Rookery, Lampeter

· Church Road, New Quay

All Ceredigion County Council car parks are without height barriers and each car park has an information board stating the car park’s tariffs and the terms and conditions related to the car parks use. On this board it does state that car parks should be used in accordance with the current Ceredigion County Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order and as such activities such as camping and cooking are generally prohibited within car parks.

I wish to advise that it is not permissible for vehicles to park in spaces or areas not designated for that class of vehicle, e.g. caravanettes parking in bus spaces is not permitted.'
