The park is at the Agricultural Business Centre (a cattle market). The road is aptly named the Agricultural Way. There is a lovely restaurant with a carvery and also a toilet block.
There is a lot of space here for motor homes with just a short walk into Bakewell. If you have never been to Bakewell before try the original Bakewell pudding. It's very nice!!
The cost (2016) was £5.60 per day and there is no facility for overnight parking.
There are no height barriers and no width problems.

There is a 3.6 metre height restriction.
The entrance to Calke Park is from Ticknall, off the A514. From here follow the signs into the park. There is plenty of parking for motorhomes along the 1 1/2 mile drive to the house and at the car park later.
Owned by the National Trust, entry is free to members.
Chesterfield
The surface car park at Ashgate Road can accomodate larger vehicles as it doesn't have any marked bays.

The car park is on the Cromford Meadows which is actually owned by the rugby club and is a very large open car park with no height barriers and no parking lines.
Essentially you can park anywhere. It is now a pay and display and costs £3.60 per day. (2016 prices)
There are lots of walks from this car park. The adjacent car park is owned by Derbyshire County Council and is slightly more expensive but again no height barriers and no lane marks.
There is a toilet block and the Cromford Canal runs alongside and a lovely tea room is adjacent.

This parking is at Straws Bridge on the A 609 from West Hallam to Ilkeston. There are several really good walks from here into Shipley Park and surrounds. Following the old railway track just off the car park which is now a bike route taking you to Trent Lock, Long Eaton and Sandiacre. If you go left on this track you get to a lovely cafe called Nutbrook Cafe (open Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Car park at Rutland Sports Park in West End Drive is free of charge and no height barriers. Also on the road parking as the road is quite wide.
Walk up to the traffic lights and go straight on and straight at the next junction. This brings you to the market place (market Thurs. and Sat.). On Bath St is a lovely gift shop and cafe, Harpur and Finch. Try it for afternoon tea.

The car park entrance for motor homes is via Mercaston Lane. Do not attempt to enter by the entrance on Kedleston Road as it is too narrow.
Large car park with plenty of room for motor homes.
Mercia Marina
OS Maps Landranger 128 Explorer 245 and 259. Virtually on the join between the two maps.
This lovely marina is set just off the A38 at Wellington. There are no height barriers but there are width lines. Really only for the shorter motorhome say upto 6.5m. There are tea rooms and shops but also good walking from the car park. Around the marina is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
